Marilyn Rose

Marilyn Rose has been on a varied yet focused path of studying and applying the principles and techniques of fine art since 1992. As a plein air painter since 1996, Marilyn learned to create a composition quickly and capture the essence of a scene with expressive brush and palette knife strokes. She loves to capture the essence of the landscape in small plein air paintings that may be used for larger studio pieces. While landscape is Marilyn’s main focus, still life and figural work have always been a mainstay in her development as an artist. I love the peace and comfort of being where life is simple, basic and real.” She sums up the inspiration that she finds in various subject matter: “These subjects take me deep into a place where I draw inner strength, and I love to connect with others who are searching for that power in themselves.”
