Kevin Tice

Kevin Tice is a Western landscape oil painter based in Cedar City, Utah. Raised in rural eastern Nevada, he began drawing and painting at a young age and continued to develop through self-directed study and mentorship. After retiring from a career with the Nevada State Police in Las Vegas, he transitioned to painting full time. Tice’s work is rooted in direct observation. He paints outdoors regularly to inform his studio work, focusing on the deserts, mountains, and waters of the American West. His approach emphasizes strong value structure, atmosphere, and restraint over excess detail. He is a member of the Oil Painters of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and American Artists Professional League. He was awarded top honors in the “Made in Vegas” competition through Park West Gallery in Las Vegas and has held solo exhibitions, including a three-month solo show at Park West Gallery in the Caesars Palace Forum Shops. He relocated to southern Utah to be closer to the landscapes that continue to shape his work.
