Brian Jorgensen

I discovered my enthusiasm for art in a junior high art class. Glen Dale Anderson, to me, was bigger than life. His “try anything” attitude and his genuine excitement about everything art has stayed with me all my life. I developed skills in oil painting and pastels through high school and my short stint in CSU. But sometime thereafter, life and career got in the way and the paints went on the shelf for some 40 years.  Facing retirement, I broke out the supplies and started all over again. For the past 12 years I have mostly studied on line and painted with other artists.  I have limited my focus to oil landscapes and have held a special interest in light and how it can change the scene so many times in just a day.  I never forget Glen Dale’s influence and try to never get too serious or frustrated.  My goal is just to enjoy myself.
