Local pastel painter Arlene Braithwaite

Earned her Master’s degree from the University of Utah. Upon graduating, she enjoyed a career teaching art at Southern Utah State University. Since retirement, Braithwaite has been painting in her studio and on location. She has been in numerous solo shows, including at the Utah Museum of Natural History, the Springville Museum, and the Sears Museum. Braithwaite has completed commissions for Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Dixie National Forest. She was named Celebrated Artist for the Zion Park Centennial.
